You can buy a The Source Gift Card at one of our store locations and participating Dealers across Canada or online at thesource.ca. In-store, physical cards are available to purchase in customizable denominations. Online purchases offer eGift Cards in various set denominations. You can also purchase an eGift Card by calling 1-866-515-5855.
There is no limit to how many physical The Source Gift Cards you purchase in-store. Online there are limits to the amounts and quantities of Gift Cards that can be purchased which will be shared during the purchase process. This limitation is an effort to protect you and The Source against any fraudulent purchases.
Physical Gift Cards can be shipped right to your home or to any The Source location for pick-up, these are typically delivered within 3-5 business days but you can reference our Shipping Info page for more details. eGift Cards are delivered to the email you provide at checkout shortly after your order.
Typically, an eGift Card will be received within minutes of placing the order but can take up to 24 hours. On occasion, digital product orders are subject to approval validation during regular business hours, Monday to Friday. If not received within 24hrs of your purchase, check the email address you provided at checkout to validate it is correct and give us a call at 1-866-515-5855.
Not directly. We will send you two emails to the email address provided at checkout. One confirming your order, and then another with the eGift Card details. If you provide the email address of your gift recipient, they will receive both emails and you will not receive the confirmation. You can however forward the eGift Card email to your recipient or print it as a quick and easy way to give a last minute gift.
No, Gift Card purchases are not refundable immediately following the purchase.

In-store you can redeem one or more Gift Cards just like any other pay type. Present your physical Gift Card or your eGift Card on your device screen or by print-out where both the card and pin numbers are legible. You can redeem physical and eGift Cards online at thesource.ca during your checkout or by calling 1-866-515-5855 however there is a limit of 3 Gift Cards per transaction. You may combine Gift Card with another form of payment in-store, online, and by phone.
No problem! We’ll load your refund back onto a The Source Gift Card to use next time. The Source Gift Cards never expire or depreciate so that amount will be ready for your next tech purchase.
A Gift Card or eGift Card is purchased, acts exactly like any other form of payment, and does not expire. Promo or Bonus Cards are received as a part of an offer and are not purchased and therefore may expire. All expiry and need to know information on Promo or Bonus Cards are provided either in the email you receive them with or on the back of the card itself if physical. Promo or Bonus Cards received as a part of a promotion must also be returned when returning the product purchased as a part of the offer or the amount will be deducted from your refund.
If you have your original order number or the Gift Card number itself call us at 1-866-515-5855. We will make every attempt to check the balance, cancel the original card and issue a replacement card if there is a balance remaining. We will require proof of purchase and validation that you are the original purchaser. If possible, a replacement card will only be issued to the original purchaser’s shipping or email address.
Yes. The Source reserves the right to refuse physical Gift Card and eGift Card redemptions where fraud may be suspected in the interest of protecting our Customers.
