Summary
The D-Link DES-1005P allows SOHO users to have a 5-port network switch with 1 PoE port enabled allowing a PoE surveillance system to be setup. The switch also allows SMB users a cheaper alternative to larger switches while still providing power to POE (Power over Ethernet) devices. The D-Link Green eco-friendly technology provides energy savings and reduced power consumption without sacrificing performance or functionality. Ports that have no link are automatically powered down and cable lengths are automatically detected for power usage to be adjusted correctly.
