As always, a good product from Eton/Grundig.
It CAN be charged even away from a window, just plug the charger to the wall, it comes in the box.
The best on the go ipod dock/charger, you could go on a safari without having to worry about charging this.

Great sound. Eight hours of continued usage.
I needed a sound system for my boat. This is IT!
This is splashproof, it has great sound, you can also re-charge the battery in an AC outlet. Great for camping, too!! You just need sun!
I am overjoyed by how well this works! Very practical. Light and reasonably small.

WIcked Deal
This Speaker system will charge your iPhone/iPod while you listen to music. Then the internal battery on the speakers can be re-charged by the included AC wall adapter or by the built in solar panel.
First thing I would like to mention is the size of this unit. It is much smaller and compact then I thought when I ordered it. This is a very good thing because you can throw it in your beach back with ease. Nice rubberized texture and easy to carry. For it's size; the sound is great too; there is even a bass boost button. Seems to stay pretty charged up too when left in the sunlight.
I bought this at a sale price and I believe it has great bang for buck. If I lost this today, I would buy it again.
BTW, when I put in an iPhone4, it does warn me that this accesory is not desinged for the iphone4, but it fully functions correctly with my iPhone4. Also tested with an iPhone 3G. And I hear it will work even on the little iPods.

great if on sale
Got this at $100 off... which makes it a great buy. The solar charger is great for use on the go. Also love that it's a rechargeable battery. Note that contrary to what the lad at the Source told me, the AC adapter comes with the unit. Nice & small for portability, but loud enough to use around the yard, on the deck, on the boat. Probably not designed for providing blasting tunes at a loud party, but can't say if it would do the trick as we didn't try that. The remote control is super handy. Everyone at the cottage was jealous.
