Sony CMT-S30IP All-in-One Compact Hi-Fi Audio System
Lasted 1 year
Product gets 1 star, for the number of years it lasted. Controls on console died weeks after warranty. Had to take it to repair shop to have library cd removed. Contacted Sony by phone but could not help as I didn't purchase extended warranty. Emailed issue to Sony, but they didn't respond. Off to the landfill it goes.

Good Quality Components
Purchased this Sony to replace a lesser quality unit that died after a year and one-half. Counting on Sony to provide many more years of service.
The main unit is rather chunky (over-sized) considering its capabilities. Aside from playing a CD my MP3 player can do what this does. in a much smaller footprint. The big shiny volume knob - necessary? This main unit is 3 times taller than it needs to be but at least it has quality fit-and-finish.
Speakers are made of wood (pressed) with a veneer finish and of good quality. Again, though, given the size of them I expected more oomph. Nevertheless, the sound quality is good but needs to be at medium sound levels to show off the speakers properly. There is a 'Bass Boost' setting but is inadequate at low sound levels.
The remote works well enough but oddly, is a bit slow in reacting to button presses - like 1/2 second. You need to supply the AA battery - come on, Sony.
Given only one display line, showing track information on CDs or flash drives is awkward but they give it a try using a right-to-left scroll.
There is NO audio out for headphones!!
Overall, probably somewhat over-priced but I'm counting on a long life from this Sony (Umm... made in China) product.

Good compact Hi-Fi audio system
Small Hi-Fi audio system.
Not a fancy big powerful system, but it is just what I needed to hear music.

I ordered this for my father because it was described as having an AM/FM tuner...which it does not. He's a older gent that likes his AM radio and sadly this did not meet his needs.
