Winegard FlatWave Amped HDTV Indoor Antenna with Embedded Digital Amplifier
Not as good as it is made to be
It's not a bad antenna, but it is not terribly good either. I was surprised that it didn't beat my 7-year-old RCA antenna in terms of number of channels received. Additionally, it's not quite straightforward to install, as the cable is quite short and not extendable, and you need to hang it vertically or the reception dramatically deteriorates.
For me in downtown Toronto, I managed to get channels from Hamilton and some channels from Buffalo, including PBS, but not all I could get on a good day, so MSNBC and Fox was out - and I used to get them sometimes on my old one.
This being said, it's probably better than most antennas on the market, just not quite as good as some reviews would suggest, and not quite worth the full $150 price. For shoppers in downtown Toronto I would suggest trying out a few antennas and looking whether they can get PBS from Buffalo or not; it is quite a stable station and a good test, in my experience.
