Easy to set up, great connection
This router was easy to set up, and provides a reliable, fast connection for my home network. I would definitely recommend this to a friend or family member, without hesitation.

Works great with Macs
I bought this router after returning a D-Link one that refused to work well with my Macs. The D-link DHCP server, which grants local IP addresses to connected computers, was incompatible with the DHCP client software in OS X. I know a lot about these things, and although I wasted hours trying, I could not make the D-Link work reliably.
As soon as I plugged in the E1200 this problem was solved. I had solid address negotiations between the router and the computers right away. The Linksys also comes with an OS X version of the setup software, which the D-Link did not. Spend a bit more and save a ton of hassle, especially if you're a Mac user.

compact with a lot of functions
very small and powerful wireless router. configuration is very easy - basic setup is done in 5 minutes. allows different rules & filters for internet access. separate wireless network for guests with own encryption-password. good choice for small offices/home offices or small motels
